Joy Eno
My journey as a photographer began as a child watching my father hone his craft of landscape photography. As far back as I can remember I loved gazing at settings as though they were being viewed through the lens of a camera ... looking at relationships of shapes, patterns of light and stories being told. That passion continues today with my product photography. I still have a penchant for natural light – watching it gently wrap itself around the subject, quietly weaving itself in and out of the shadows – it’s just so hard to top Mother Nature! I have worked in the catalog industry for over 25 years. This experience has provided the opportunity to shoot a diverse variety of merchandise in a sundry of locations, pushing me to sharpen my own photography skills. The subject matter might be diverse but the photography process is the same ... examine each product, determine the story to be told and establish whom I am trying to reach. From there the fun begins, choosing the setting, lighting and styling that elevates the natural beauty of the merchandise and speaks to the audience I am trying to reach.
